The World Robot Olympiad (WRO) is an international STEM and robotics competition that aims to inspire young people to develop an interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. It was first established in 2004 and has since become one of the most prominent robotics competitions worldwide. India STEM Foundation is the national organizer of WRO in India. For 2023, the participating teams will learn and understand the shipping process and digital technology under the theme “Connecting the World”. 

NET (National Entrance Test)

This is specifically targeting the students participating from India STEM Foundation partner schools who would want to represent India in the world of robotics at the national level. NET is an objective test where the students are questioned about their knowledge in the field of  mathematics, science/Evs and aptitude.

Virtual Regional Round

Students who have participated through ISF partner schools and cleared the National Entrance Test by scoring 60% and above, proceed further to virtual regional where they have to virtually present their ideas and design in teams abiding to the theme of WRO India 2023 “Connecting the World”.

Directly enter WRO India 2023 National Championships

WRO India will not be having any Regional Round which gives the private teams who thought have lost the opportunity to participate in WRO and compete with other private teams and school teams as well, a golden chance to still register for WRO India National Championship. 

All existing and new registrations for Robo Mission, Future Innovator, Future Engineers are to directly enter WRO India Nationals Championship 2023.

Registration process

Please follow the following steps to register your team and directly enter the World Robot Olympiad National Championship!

1. Visit https://wroindia.org/

2. Click on “Know More” under the National Championship

3. Click on “register” under Level -4 Nation Championship

4. On the top left corner of your screen, you will see “registration” right below “home”

5. Click on “registration”

6. Read the registration details carefully and check the box for “I have read and understood important registration information above”

7. Click on “proceed to registration”

8. Add your information and create a Login ID, click “submit” after cross checking the   information.

9. You will receive an email from wro@indiastemfoundation.org regarding successful registration.

10. Click on the “click here” button inside the email to verify and activate your account.

11. Go back to the wroindia.org and click on the login portal link showcased.

12. Fill out the username and password shared with you to login.

If you are unable to register or facing any issues, please follow these steps:

1. Visit wroindia.org

2. Scroll down to the “Participate in WRO India Season 2023” section and fill the from.       

3. Select “private team”and fill out the name.

4. Provide your email address and phone number.

5. Check the box for “I am not a robot”

6. Click “submit”
