Background & Objective
★ To address the need to develop a scientific temperament, spirit of curiosity and creative mindset.
★ Initiating STEM education in the adopted schools, with the usage of the existing Atal Tinkering Lab allotted by the government.
★ India STEM Foundation is proposing a project that equips schools with quality DIY platforms, training & hands-on activities
★ Ensure each student is exposed to the right curriculum and sessions to elicit curiosity, creativity and imagination in students by
introducing them to STEM aspects
★ Enabling students, teachers, and the school selected up take technology-driven programs effectively
★ Ensure decided outputs and outcomes are achieved with optimum utilization of budget.
Program Approach
Training support to Government and Government Aided schools with a cluster-based approach for existing Atal
Tinkering Labs allotted by the government.
★ Engaging science teachers in the sessions in conducting sessions to build technology uptake capacity
★ ISF to conduct internal assessments (Baseline and Midline survey) for monitoring and recording the overall project effectiveness (end-line survey in the form of projects prepared by the students).
★ 4 day session
★ 3 sessions a year
★ 30 to 120 teachers per session
Key Outcomes
Selected teachers will be trained in STEM skills and will help students brainstorm and create projects based on SDGs. Assessment of teachers’ training will be done to measure the increase in the knowledge of teachers.
