This year the WRO theme is PowerBots – The Future of Energy. In 2021, your team will be looking at the challenges that come with using more energy from renewable sources. Teams in the Regular Category will build and program robots that modernize the energy use of a house, assist with charging cars in a parking garage and help manage the energy mix on the grid. Teams in Open Category will develop robots that will allow us use renewable sources of energy in the most efficient way.
World Robot Olympiad India (WRO India) is one of the largest Robotics competition in India for students between the
age group of 6 to 19 years, held since 2006. It is a not-for-profit competition organized by India STEM Foundation.
World Robot Olympiad™ is an event for science, technology and education which brings together the young people all over
the world to develop their creativity and problem solving skills through challenging and educational robotics competitions.
Schools are invited to enter a team of three students to participate in this competition. Participating teams need to create,
design and build a robot model that look or behave like a human athlete. The competition starts from preliminary
to the final judging.
India STEM Foundation is a pioneer in promoting hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)
education in India with the intervention of Robotics and research based learning programs for school and college
students. India STEM foundation is the affiliate partner of World Robot Olympiad Association in India.
