On 24th February 2026, the campus of Sou. Vimlabai Garware High School came alive with creativity, curiosity, and innovation as it hosted a vibrant STEM Tinkering Lab Showcase event. Supported by Envalior and implemented by India STEM Foundation, the event stood as a powerful celebration of hands-on STEM education and collaborative learning.
A total of 45 students presented 20 innovative projects, representing three schools across Pune. The participation included one Robo Siksha Kendra (RSK) lab and two STEM Clubs, highlighting the expanding ecosystem of structured STEM learning platforms in the city. The showcase offered students an opportunity to present their ideas, demonstrate working models, and explain the real-world problems their solutions aimed to address. Each project reflected thoughtful experimentation, teamwork, and a strong understanding of applied science and technology.
From engineering prototypes and automation concepts to sustainability-focused solutions and creative technology models, the diversity of ideas showcased the strength of experiential learning. Students confidently articulated their thought processes, explained the technical aspects of their models, and responded to questions with clarity and enthusiasm. The event was not merely about presenting projects—it was about empowering students to think critically, innovate boldly, and communicate effectively.
The showcase was graced by the presence of 10 employees from Envalior, whose active participation significantly elevated the event. Their engagement went beyond observation, as they interacted with students, asked insightful questions, and offered constructive encouragement. Among the distinguished attendees was Sushmita Mishra, HRBP at Envalior, whose support and interaction added immense value to the experience. Her encouragement resonated strongly with the young innovators, reinforcing the importance of industry recognition in shaping student confidence and aspirations.
Corporate participation in school-level STEM showcase events plays a transformative role in bridging the gap between education and industry. When professionals step into academic spaces, they bring real-world perspective, industry expectations, and practical insights that help students refine their ideas. For students, such exposure builds clarity about future career pathways and strengthens their ability to align innovation with real-world impact. For corporates, it represents meaningful community engagement and a commitment to nurturing future-ready talent.
As one of India’s growing educational and innovation hubs, Pune continues to witness a strong push toward experiential and project-based learning. STEM Tinkering Labs, Robo Siksha Kendras, and STEM Clubs are emerging as powerful platforms that encourage students to experiment, build, test, and iterate. The showcase at Sou. Vimlabai Garware High School reflected how structured support from industry and implementation partners can strengthen this ecosystem and create measurable impact.
The quality of the projects presented impressed the visiting employees, who appreciated not only the technical execution but also the confidence and clarity displayed by the students during their presentations. The ability of young learners to explain complex ideas, demonstrate functional prototypes, and confidently answer questions highlighted the effectiveness of hands-on STEM learning models. Such experiences nurture resilience, creativity, and a solution-oriented mindset—qualities that are essential in today’s rapidly evolving world.
The event concluded on a highly positive note, with appreciation from Envalior employees and enthusiasm from students and educators alike. It stood as a testament to what is possible when schools, corporates, and implementation partners collaborate with a shared vision of empowering young minds through STEM education.
The STEM Tinkering Lab Showcase at Sou. Vimlabai Garware High School was more than just an event; it was a reflection of a growing movement toward innovation-led learning in India. By providing students with platforms to build, present, and receive feedback on their ideas, such initiatives lay the foundation for future engineers, scientists, designers, and problem-solvers.
As partnerships between industry and education continue to strengthen, events like these will play a crucial role in shaping confident, capable, and future-ready learners. The success of this showcase reaffirms the belief that when young innovators are given the right tools, mentorship, and encouragement, they rise to the occasion and exceed expectations.
