5th-10th June 2023, was marked as one of the most thrilling 5 days for prospective STEM learners and educators. India STEM Foundation partnered with Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. for an enriching STEM teacher training program spanning across Pune, Mumbai, and Noida.
An exhilarating communion of 35 teachers from 6 beneficiary schools benefited from the expertise of trainer Arjun Bhardawaj for an introductory STEM session in Robo Siksha Kendra labs.
Why STEM teacher training?
At ISF we believe in upskilling our teachers and trainers to keep the ecosystem up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools and resources. Our dedicated group of educators delved into a world of insightful and inspiring STEM teaching methodologies. The training program provided a platform for these enthusiastic teachers to explore new horizons and discover innovative ways to engage their students in the realms of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Teacher training modules
In our week-long interactive workshops and practical sessions, teachers gained valuable knowledge and expertise in
1. STEM Tinkerer Module: A comprehensive training program designed to enhance teachers’ expertise in STEM education, focusing on tinkering activities that foster creativity and problem-solving skills.
2. AI Integration Module: Empowering educators with knowledge and hands-on experience in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts into the STEM curriculum, enabling students to explore the potential of AI in various fields.
3. Robotics Training Module: Equipping teachers with the necessary skills and techniques to effectively implement robotics education, allowing students to engage in hands-on learning and develop critical thinking and teamwork abilities.
4. Interactive Workshops: Engaging sessions that provide practical insights and strategies for effective STEM instruction, leveraging innovative tools and resources to create engaging learning experiences.
5. Collaboration and Networking Opportunities: Creating a supportive community where teachers can collaborate, share best practices, and build a network of like-minded educators passionate about STEM education.
