Innovation grows stronger when ideas are shared, challenged, and refined. As students continue preparing for the WRO India Regional Championship, industry engagement plays an important role in helping young innovators improve both their technical solutions and presentation skills.
On 30 July 2026, volunteers from Athenahealth visited the STEM Lab at M. T. Balwadkar Vidyalaya, Pune, where they interacted with students participating in WRO India. Through thoughtful discussions and project reviews, the volunteers encouraged students to strengthen their ideas while gaining greater confidence ahead of the competition.
A Platform to Present Innovative Ideas

The session began with an interactive introduction, allowing volunteers to learn about the students, their project, and the real-world challenge they were addressing.
Students confidently presented their innovation, explaining the technical concepts behind their solution, the programming involved, and the expected impact of their project. Their presentation reflected months of preparation, creativity, and collaborative effort.
Valuable Industry Perspectives
Throughout the session, Athenahealth volunteers engaged students with technical, design, and presentation-focused discussions that encouraged them to think more deeply about every aspect of their project.
The conversations provided students with valuable insights into how they could improve the performance of their robot, strengthen their presentation, and communicate their ideas more effectively. The volunteers appreciated the team’s creativity, teamwork, and dedication while sharing constructive suggestions that will help enhance the project before the regional competition.
The interaction created a supportive learning environment where students could confidently discuss their ideas while learning from experienced industry professionals.
Learning Through Meaningful Engagement
Volunteer engagement extends learning beyond technical development.
By interacting directly with professionals, students gain experience presenting ideas, responding to technical questions, and refining their solutions based on constructive feedback. These experiences help build confidence while preparing students for future academic, professional, and competitive opportunities.
The successful coordination of the session also reflected the collaborative efforts of the India STEM Foundation team in creating impactful learning experiences for students.
Strengthening STEM Education Through Industry Partnerships

Meaningful collaboration between education and industry creates opportunities that inspire innovation and lifelong learning.
India STEM Foundation continues to connect students with experienced professionals who encourage curiosity, strengthen technical understanding, and help transform innovative ideas into practical solutions. Partnerships with organisations like Athenahealth enable students to experience the value of collaboration while preparing them for challenges both within WRO India and beyond.
As students continue their WRO India journey, the encouragement and insights shared during this volunteer engagement session will help them approach the Regional Championship with greater confidence and stronger projects.
