These programs were aimed to equip teachers with cutting-edge methodologies and practical tools to foster innovation and essential 21st century skills like critical thinking and problem solving in students. With their goal to make STEM Education accessible to all, while recognizing the pivotal role of educators in shaping the future of STEM learning, these initiatives were designed to revolutionize STEM teaching by providing educators with the skills and resources necessary to inspire the next generation of innovators.

Certified STEM Teacher Training Program Participation
Guided by Dr. Sarvjit Herald and supported by a team of over 7 trainers, the Certified STEM Teacher Training Program successfully empowered 140+ educators across four key locations. This transformative program reached approximately 30 teachers in BITM, Kolkata, 45 in DSERT, Bengaluru, 32 in Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai, and over 36 in National Science Centre, Delhi, equipping them to drive innovation in their classrooms.
About the STEM Teacher Training Program
The Certified STEM Teacher Training Program was a four-hour intensive online session crafted to provide educators with essential STEM teaching techniques. At the heart of the training was experiential learning, where educators through hands-on projects could explore real-world STEM experiments that make abstract theories tangible. The curriculum delved into fundamental yet futuristic domains such as coding, artificial intelligence, and automation, enabling teachers to seamlessly incorporate these concepts into their lesson plans. Additionally, participants gained access to a structured 30-session STEM lesson plan, an invaluable resource to guide classroom instruction and foster an interactive learning environment.

The STEM Teacher Training Program followed a well-defined curriculum designed to enhance teaching efficacy and promote an engaging learning environment. The key components of the curriculum were as follows:

Developing STEM Expertise through Hands-On Project: The Obstacle Avoidance Car Robot





Under the guidance of our STEM trainers, the educator participants built an obstacle avoidance car robot. During this process, they were trained to assemble the kit and create the circuits. They also learned programming to control the motor’s speed and the robot’s direction (forward and backward movement). Finally, to prevent collisions, the participants used ultrasonic sensors that could detect the obstacles from a distance and signal the robot to stop. Through this project, educators learnt the practical application of STEM and gained the confidence and expertise to guide their students in exploring the fascinating field of automation and STEM Learning.

Free Participation in WRO India Future Innovators Category: One of the most exciting benefits of this program is the opportunity for schools to participate in the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) India Future Innovators Category. Each school that completes the training will receive free registration for one team, allowing students to apply their STEM knowledge in a competitive and collaborative environment. This exposure fosters innovation, creativity, and technical skills, preparing students for future STEM careers.
Exposure to Advanced STEM Topics: The training introduces educators to emerging STEM fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation, ensuring that they stay updated with the latest technological advancements.
