Rockwell Empowers WRO India Teams 2026

Rockwell Automation Volunteers Help WRO India Teams Prepare for the Regional Championship

Every successful innovation begins with thoughtful feedback and continuous improvement. As students prepare for the WRO India Regional Championship, opportunities to interact with industry professionals become invaluable in helping them strengthen their ideas and gain confidence.

On 31 July 2026, volunteers from Rockwell Automation visited the STEM Lab at Vishwakarma Vidyalaya English Medium School, Pune, where they engaged with students participating in WRO India. The session focused on reviewing projects, encouraging critical thinking, and helping students refine their solutions before they take the competition stage.

Innovative Ideas Take Centre Stage

Students enthusiastically presented two innovative projects that reflected this year’s WRO India theme.

The Class 10 team showcased the Digital Heritage Bus, an interactive solution designed to promote cultural learning through technology.

The Class 9 boys’ team presented the Smart Temple Service Robot, demonstrating how robotics can improve accessibility and enhance visitor experiences in places of cultural significance.

Each team confidently explained the inspiration behind its project, demonstrated the working prototype, highlighted the technologies used, and shared the real-world impact of its solution.

Industry Feedback That Builds Confidence

The volunteer engagement session recreated the type of interaction students can expect during the WRO India Regional Championship.

Rather than simply observing the projects, the Rockwell Automation volunteers encouraged students to explain their technical decisions, programming logic, innovation process, and presentation approach. These discussions helped students think critically about their work while identifying opportunities to strengthen both their prototypes and communication skills.

The volunteers appreciated the originality, creativity, and confidence displayed by both teams while providing practical recommendations to improve project functionality, presentation flow, and overall impact.

Preparing Students Beyond the Competition

Behind every successful project is consistent guidance and dedicated preparation.

Throughout the project development journey, the students were supported by Priyanka Bhosale, Robotics Engineer at India STEM Foundation, who guided the teams through ideation, design, programming, testing, documentation, and presentation planning. Her continuous support enabled students to transform their ideas into well-developed, competition-ready solutions.

The interaction with industry professionals further strengthened this foundation by exposing students to real-world perspectives and encouraging them to continuously improve their work.

Industry Collaboration Driving Future Innovation

Volunteer engagement creates meaningful opportunities for students to learn directly from professionals who understand the importance of innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving.

India STEM Foundation continues to build strong partnerships with organisations like Rockwell Automation to provide students with practical learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom. These interactions not only strengthen technical knowledge but also develop confidence, communication, and the ability to present innovative ideas effectively.

As the teams prepare for the WRO India Regional Championship, the insights shared during this session will help them showcase stronger projects and approach the competition with greater confidence.
